Vanessa Marlene Wilson Chitwood, 60, of Gastonia, passed away on June 7, 2017, at her home.

She was born June 25, 1956, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Alex Wilson Sr. and Opal Lee Shook Wilson.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.

Mrs. Chitwood is survived by daughters, Kelly Williams and husband, Michael, Crystal Morgan; husband, Rickie Chitwood; brothers, Alex Wilson Jr., Allen Wilson, Paul Wilson; sisters, Sharon Withers, Brenda Owens, Tammy Rucker; grandchildren, Dylan, Gabriel, Anita, Johanna.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother, Robert Wilson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Hospice of Lincoln County 900 Donita Drive Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
