On September 16, 2020, an angel got her wings, Vanessa Hayes McLoughlin DeVito, of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.
Born May 8, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Barbara Hayes.
Vanessa truly lived life to the fullest with simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, and spending time with her loved ones. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome and she never met a stranger.
Vanessa is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Henry DeVito III; three sons, Ben McLoughlin, Joey Rodd, Henry DeVito IV; two daughters, Lisa LaFrancis, Cheri Reading; sisters, Lauren Hayes, Lisa Sisk; Beth Shuman many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
A celebration of Vanessa's life will be starting at noon, Saturday, September 19, 2020, at her home, 105 North Inman Ave. Bessemer City.
