Vanessa Lynn Mapp-Gaither

In loving memory of Vanessa Mapp-Gaither. Daughter of the late Elwood Lee Mapp and Louise Sheila Brantley. Vanessa was born in Philadelphia, PA. She married in 1985 for twenty years and from that union two wonderful sons, Neil Small Jr. and Khalil Small. She resided in Sicklerville, NJ.

Vanessa accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1995. She was a member of Victory Christian Fellowship New Castle, DE. Vanessa's dream was to be an accomplished novelist, her published works can be found under her pseudonym name SOLFOUND.

After suffering numerous strokes prompting partial disability. Vanessa relocated to Charlotte, NC. Upon arrival another stroke occurred this time paralyzing her left side. Still determined to keep moving forward she was strong willed and refused to leave the South although her family suggested that she return to the North for family support.

Vanessa's career in the medical insurance industry allowed her the benefit of traveling extensively to beautiful countries enjoying breath taking beaches throughout the years. But most rewarding was her volunteer work with the Catholic Diocese Church food pantry assisting folks with the gift of free food.

Vanessa found love with her second husband Charlie Fitzgerald Gaither and they happily married in 2019. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Charlie along with her sons, Neil and Khalil, sisters, Leslie and Maureen, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and many wonderful friends.

In addition to her parents, Vanessa was preceded in death by her sisters, Marguarite Mapp and Sharon Mapp, brother, Charles Reese Jr.
