Valerie Hilderbrand

Valerie Hilderbrand, 67, of Gastonia passed peacefully in her sleep and gained her heavenly wings on September 28, 2024.

Valerie was born and raised here in Gastonia. She got her GED and completed 2.5 years of college.

Valerie was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved a simple life and cared deeply for her family, especially her grandchildren.

She enjoyed music, reading and cross stitch. When she was younger, she enjoyed dancing.

Valerie is preceded in death by her mother, Annie R. Pasour; father, Allen King; maternal grandparents, James and Lucy Revels; her husband, Keith Hilderbrand.

Valerie is survived by her  loving daughters, Lori Stamey and husband Fred (Jinks) Stamey, Jennifer Jennings and husband Timothy Jennings; grandsons, Dustin and Joshua Stamey, David Bridges, Jacob Hilderbrand; her only great-grandson, Tatum Hilderbrand; her sister Vicky Pasour and her son, Wayne Dills; brother, Larry Pasour; aunts, Kathy Stallings (John), Pat Harrison (Harold), Shirley Silvers; uncles, Butch Revels (Roxann), Charles Revels (Carolyn); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who will carry forth her loving memory.

A celebration of Valerie's life will be held 5:00 pm Friday, October 4, 2024, at Greene Funeral Service, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Rufus Johnson.
