Valerie Russett Forbes

Valerie Russett Forbes, 70, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Addison County, Vermont, on November 27, 1953, to the late Harvey and Ann Russett.

Valerie was a member of IATSE local 322 of Charlotte, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Joel Russett; sister, Mary Sunderland.

Valerie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Al Forbes; brothers, Harvey Russett III (Stephanie), Phillip Russett (Teena), Michael Russett (Rose), Peter Russett (Gretchen), John Russett (Kevin); sisters; Nathalie Carlson, Laurie McCain (Andy), Kelly Higgins (Jim), Tracy Webster, Whitney Gorton, Lindy Norton (Mike), Jenny Russett (Sean Dye); uncles, Gene Milo, Paul Milo; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service officiated by Pastor Elizabeth Sigmon will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024, 3:00 PM, at Olney Presbyterian Church, 251 Olney Church Road, Gastonia, NC 28056

A gathering of friends and family will be held after the service at the church.
