Truman L. Bitzel

Truman L. Bitzel, 70, of Clover, SC, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 21, 2012, at Magnolia Manor, Rock Hill, SC. He was born April 8, 1942 in Wabash, Indiana, son of the late Orval L. and Marcella Cox Bitzel. Mr. Bitzel was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Gastonia. He was retired from Wix/Dana Corp. after 36 years of service. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Sunday at Zion Baptist Church, Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Leo Kuykendall. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Filbert Hwy, Clover, SC. He is survived by: his wife of 51 years, Carol Burton Bitzel of the home; sons, Terry L. Bitzel and wife, Sally of Wabash, Indiana, Jerry L. Bitzel of Clover,SC; grandchildren, Justin Bitzel, Amanda Pinkerton and husband, Brandon, Samantha Eason; great grandchildren, James, Gracie and Kaystin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: a brother, Alvin L. Bitzel. Memorials may be made to Interim Health Care and Hospice of Rock Hill, 154 Amendment Ave. Suite 106, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
