Tony Gibson, 64, of Bessemer City, passed away on January 29, 2018, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.
He was born March 18, 1953, in Gaston County, son of the late Thomas Gibson Sr. and Inez Gibson.
He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Bessemer City.
Tony was a beloved husband, father, paw-paw and brother, who loved his family deeply and was very devoted to them. He had retired form Wix Filters after 42 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, cookouts and eating at the Waffle House.
A funeral service will be held 3:00pm Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated Pastor Robin Taylor.
The family will receive friends 2-3pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
Tony is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Millie Payseur Gibson; sons, Stephen Gibson, Timothy Gibson and wife, Miranda; daughter, Wendy Morrow and husband, Larry; brother, Micheal Gibson and wife, Hazel; sisters, Linda Gray, Dolores Rogers and husband, Mike, Shelia Hall; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Pamela Dean; granddaughter, Summer Gibson.
