Timothy Jones

Timothy Martin "Coach" Jones, 61, of Gastonia, passed away May 28, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

A Gaston County native, he was born January 25, 1960, son of the late J.W. and Irene Jones.

Timothy was a member of Clover Liberty Pentecostal Church.

An avid softball player, coach, and sports fan, he coached Flip Dow Bonding Softball Team and was inducted to the ISSA Senior Softball Hall of Fame.

Left to cherish his memories, are his brother, Calvin Black; sisters, Rebecca Ann Hall, Glenda Rowland and husband Gerald; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Michael Coe, will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
