Timothy "Red" Green

Timothy "Red" Green, 84, of Gastonia passed away January 2, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 24, 1932, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Jamie M. Green and Dora Hope Green.

Red was a veteran of the US Army and member of Lowell Church of God.

Left to cherish his memories are his brother Titus Greene and sister Joyce Duncan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marcene Green and three brothers Giles, Kenneth and Bobby Green.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Joe Heffner, will be held 2:00 pm Friday at Lowell Church of God, 804 W. 1st Street, Lowell.

The family will receive friends 1:30 – 2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lowell Church of God, 804 W. 1st Street, Lowell, NC 28098.
