Thurman L. Trammell

Thurman L. Trammell, 75, of Dallas, went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2016.

He was born February 18, 1941 in Randolph County, the son of the late Emmett Wayne Trammell and Elizabeth Case Trammell.

Thurman attended Lowell Church of God.  He loved his family and enjoyed singing, football and NASCAR.  He never met a stranger and will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of over 50 years, Loretta Heffner Trammell; daughters Amy Medlin Greene and fiancé Michael Halverson, Jane Trammell Tart and husband Brad; grandchildren Julian W. Medlin IV and wife Lauri, Joshua S. Medlin and wife Beth, Dalton Seth Tart, Gabriel Emmett Tart; great-grandchildren Mylie Propst, Leah Medlin and Blake Medlin and extended Heffner family.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastors Joe Heffner and Andy Nicholson will be held 3 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The receiving of friends and family will be held 6 – 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
