Thomas Tyler

Thomas Tyler, 60, formerly of Bessemer City, NC, passed away July 13, 2020 at the Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain, NC.

A native of Gaston County, NC, he was born December 21, 1959, to the late Willie Tyler and Estelle Williams Bradshaw.

Thomas was a faithful employee of Suburban Acres and prior to that, an employee for Cline Roofing.  He was a pillar to the Suburban Acres Community, where he had many friends that enjoyed him.  He enjoyed cooking, watching tv, and spending time with friends and family.  He took pride in being a grandfather to his grandchildren.  He will truly be missed by his family, who cherished him and will keep his memory alive.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, William "Bubba" Tyler; and two sisters, Corniece Tyler and Rosie Mae Williams.

Thomas is survived by his domestic partner, Doreen Petty; five children, Tiea Petty and husband Darryl Cathey, Kez-Stella Tyler and girlfriend Darika Barnes, Obadiah Tyler and wife Meagan Snowden, Quhristen Tyler and husband Shone Foster, and Keyona Sanders; grandchildren, Zhamaurii Lamb and Kornelius Tyler; and special nieces, Keytha Thompson and Alexandra Adams.

All services are private.
