Thomas Patrick Rocks

Thomas Patrick Rocks, 65, of Athens, GA and Gastonia, NC, was born to eternal life on June 21, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 17, 1950 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of the late Bernard Thomas and Marianne Sapp Rocks and husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Egan Rocks. Survivors include his children Megan Rocks & Brenna Rocks of Athens and Colleen Rocks & Kevin Rocks of Atlanta; and his siblings Marilyn Meggs of Macon, Dennis Rocks of Sanford, NC, & Maureen Heretick of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by his only grandchild Liam Michael Rocks of Athens. A memorial rosary will be said for the repose of his soul on Tuesday, June 30th at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church - 134 Prince Ave., Athens, GA 30601. The memorial mass will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 1st at the church with a reception to follow. Following the reception the family will receive guests at the house of the youngest daughter, Brenna, at 185 Rocky Drive, Athens, GA 30607. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tom's name to St. Joseph's Catholic Charities.
