Thomas Leroy "Pops" Perry Jr.

Thomas "Pops" Perry, Jr., 89, passed away January 11, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born March 4, 1928 in York, SC, the son of the late Thomas L. Perry, Sr. and Ila Wooten Perry.

Pops was a native of York County and retired from Caromont Regional Medical Center after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his sons Tommy, Michael and Charles Perry; daughters Janet German and Brenda Lockridge and husband, Robert; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a very special lady in Dad's life, Suzan Bumgardner, his daytime caregiver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Shubert Perry; three brothers and four sisters.

The family will receive friends 12 – 1:30 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Gaston Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Doug McClain.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
