Thomas "Tommy" O. Edwards

Thomas "Tommy" O. Edwards,73, of Gastonia passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Carolina's Medical Center.

He was born June 25, 1943 in Mitchell County, son of the late Ellis Edwards and Irene Haynes.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Pat Roberts Edwards; mother, Irene Haynes; son, Roger Garland Edwards and wife Crystal; daughters, Donna Edwards Hix and husband Tim, Tracey Cavin and husband Billy; brother, Lee Edwards; sister, Teresa Reid; grandchildren, Jordan Edwards, Addison Cavin, Kerstin Lister; Grandfurbabies, Lucy and Jaxon.

In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his wife, Genera Warren Edwards; brother, James Edwards.

A funeral service officiated by pastor Bob Allred will be held 1 pm Monday, April 17 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Road. Gastonia, NC.

The family will receive friends from noon till 1 pm at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
