Thomas "Larry" Lowery Harmon

Thomas "Larry" Lowery Harmon,79, of Shelby, passed away on February 23, 2021, at his home.

He was born July 10, 1941, in Cleveland County, son of the late Hubert  Pinkney Harmon and Pearl Waters Mullinax.

Mr. Harmon was member of Faith Baptist Church, Shelby, where he was a member of the choir and served as an usher.

He was involved in Cross Road Rescue Mission.

He was a church volunteer involved in Maintenance and Construction at the Church and the Rescue Mission.

He was a former deacon at Buffalo Baptist Church.

He retired from Fiber Industries after many years of service.

A funeral service will be held  3:00 pm Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Faith Baptist Church, 2738 South Post Rd., Shelby, officiated by Pastor Barry Goodman and  Associate Pastor Johnny Owens.

The family will receive friends 1:30 – 3:00 pm  prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Harmon is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ola Grigg Harmon; sons, Chris Harmon (Anita), Mark A. Harmon; grandchildren, Kyle Harmon, Christen Harmon, Jason Harmon(Paris), Jeremy Harmon(Ashley), Dustin Harmon, Sarabeth Harmon; great-grandsons, Rian, Oliver.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium , Gastonia.
