Thomas Eugene Jones

Thomas Eugene Jones, 74, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at his residence. A Gaston County native, he was born July 26, 1937, son of the late Van and Annie Mae Sutton Jones. In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Humphries; brother, Billy Jones; and his granddaughter, Tabitha Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Katherine Jones of the home; sons, Bobby Jones and wife, Brenda of Asheville, Curtis Jones and Scott Jones, both of Gastonia; daughters, Angela Mullins of Gastonia, Lori Scruggs and husband, Barry of Gastonia; brothers, Rev. Richard Jones and wife, Joyce of Gastonia, B.J. Willis of Asheville; sister, Geraldine Jones of Gastonia; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. All services are private.
