**Obituary for Thomas "Pappy" Hartsoe**

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Thomas "Pappy" Hartsoe, who left us on September 16, 2025, at the age of 81.

Born on May 9, 1944, in York, South Carolina, Thomas lived a full life and made cherished memories in his hometown and later in Gastonia, North Carolina, where he called home.

Thomas was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved motorcycles and his family.

He is survived by his beloved children, Reginald Hartsoe (Candy Avery), Pam Hartsoe Dukes, Tommy Hartsoe, Jr, Robi Brown, and Jonathan Hartsoe; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Rest in peace, Pappy. You'll be missed but never forgotten.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, North Hartsoe, and Dorothy McCraven; brother, Maxie McCraven; and son, Scott Hartsoe.
