Thomas "Richard" Glenn

Thomas "Richard" Glenn, 83, passed away at Alexandria Place on February 5, 2018.

He was born August 18, 1934 in Clover, SC, the son of the late Harold Franklin Glenn and Sadie McAbee Glenn.  He retired from Car Fare Motors.  He was a former lieutenant with the Gaston County Sheriffs Department, and a former Sergeant with Gaston Life Saving Crew.  He was Captain of the late Rescue "8" of Gastonia of which he was very instrumental in organizing.

Survivors include:  daughter Jayne Warley of Kings Mountain; son, Thomas "Tommy" Richard Glenn II of Bessemer City; and brother Bobby Glenn of Gastonia.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael A. Glenn; and sisters Irene Jones, Doris Miller and Margery Monteith.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Phil Harrington will be held 11 am Friday, February 9, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel -1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 701 Littlejohn Street, Gastonia, NC 28052.
