Thomas "Tommy" Gibson

Thomas "Tommy" Gibson, 68, of York, SC, passed away March 13, 2016 at his residence.

He was born June 7, 1947 in Gaston County, the son of the late John Wesley and Ruby Whaley Gibson.

Tommy attended Emmanuel Holiness Church in Clover.  He retired from Eaton Corporation in Kings Mountain.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of almost 52 years, Vicky Early Gibson; sons Sgt. Michael Gibson and David Ray Gibson both of York, SC; daughter Crystal Gibson Hamilton and husband Edward of Dunn, NC; twelve grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life service will be held 7 pm Thursday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Roy Ivey.

The family will receive friends 5 – 7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
