Theresia Karen Elliott

We are sad to announce the death of Theresia Karen Elliot, 66, of Cherryville, who passed away February 23, 2023, at her home.

Theresia was born to Lela Mae Hensley and James Vaughn Elliott.

She graduated from Ashbrook High School in 1974. She graduated top of her class from Gaston College in Applied Science and Business Administration in 2011.

She worked and retired for Duke Energy as a Joint Use Supervisor and served on the board of NJUNS.

Theresia was a wonderful mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Theresia is survived by her only child, Kristen Suzanne Webb and partner Robert Helms of Bessemer City; two granddaughters, Kaytlin J. Slaughter and husband Russell of Cherryville, and Brooklyn Steele of Bessemer City; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Bella and Caroline Slaughter; brothers, James "Jim" Elliott and wife Beverly of Daytona Beach, FL, and Douglas Rink of NC; nieces, Kelly Elliott of Blacksburg, SC and Alana Smith of Gastonia, Lori Walton of Iron Station, Jada Elliott of Daytona Beach, FL.

A celebration of Theresia's life will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Michael Rice.

The family will receive friends following the service.
