Theresa Taylor Shepard

Theresa Taylor Shepard, 49, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born September 25, 1971, in Gaston Co, NC.

Theresa was employed by C3I. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church for many years and later joined West Franklin Baptist Church, where she directed the music. After the passing of her husband, Chris, she pursued a career in Christian Counseling. She received her degrees from Light University. Theresa loved her family and friends. She enjoyed singing to honor, glorify, worship, and praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She always loved helping others any way possible, especially through Christian counseling. The light in her eyes expressed Jesus' love for all. Theresa was the most loving and loveable mother, loved one, sister, daughter, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Chris Shepard and her father, Nolan Taylor.

Theresa is survived by her mother, Martha Upton Taylor; daughter, Lauren Shepard; sisters, Sherry Frady (David), and Deborah Shepard (Mark); fiancé, Ben Kiraly; several nieces and nephews; and a special great niece, Ray Leigh.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Todd Terry, will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September  28, 2021, at Ridge Baptist Church - 3818 Old York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28056.

Family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment to follow the service at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
