Thelma Evans Harrison

Thelma Evans Harrison, 66, of Bessemer City, passed away July 10, 2016 at her residence.  She was born January 19, 1950, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Oliver Thomas Evans and Mable Henderson Evans.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Carlton Lee Haney, Jr.; daughters Tammy Gentry and Theresa Mauney; grandchildren Taylor Mauney, Brandee Mauney; Michelle Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Alexis Haney, Carly Haney, Gracie Leeann Haney; great-grandchildren Bentley Anderson; brothers Larry Evans and wife Michelle and Gary Evans and wife Janice.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray Harrison and son Tracy Lagrande Haney.

A funeral service will be held 11 am Wednesday, July 13, at Bethel Baptist Church, 3412 Redbud Drive, Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Burial will be in Westview Gardens.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
