Thelma Rae Colwell Bush

Thelma Rae Colwell Bush joined her husband, John Galen Bush, in heaven on Thursday, March 8, 2018.  She was born February 15, 1928, in Krypton, KY, to Rev. Estes and Myrtle Colwell. She was the 4th of their 13 children.  In addition to her husband and parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her:  son, Derrick Huff of Clearwater, FL:  her sisters, Juanita Colwell Stidham, Freda Mae Colwell Stidham, Carlie Colwell Stolling, Effie Colwell, and Murel Colwell Ambergey, all of Austin, IN:  her brothers, Arvel Colwell of Austin, IN, Robert Colwell of Niceville, FL, Rev. James Colwell of Holiday Island, AR, and Estes Colwell, Jr. of Austin, IN.

Left to cherish her memory are her:  sister, Telvis Colwell Ashenfelter of Cleveland, TN:  brothers, Raymond Colwell of Salem, VA, Michael Colwell and wife, Rise, of Upland, IN; her children, Dita Huff Lubera (and husband, Willy) of Lincoln, RI, Patricia Huff Sheegog of Gulf Shores, AL, JD Bush (and wife, Gwen) of Gastonia, NC: Daughter-in-Law, Rose Huff Taylor (and husband, Preston) of Clearwater, FL: 10 Grandchildren: 10 Great grandchildren: 1 Great-great grandchild: and countless friends.

The family will receive friends between 10:00 and 11:00 am before the service at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the auditorium of the First Assembly of God Church at 777 South Myrtle School Road, Gastonia, NC  28052.

Interment will be private.
