Terry Wayne "Satch" Jones

Terry Wayne "Satch" Jones, 67, of Shelby, passed away August 18, 2015 at Carolina's Health Care System - Cleveland. He was born July 26, 1948 in Jackson County, Ga., the son of the late Roy Eugene Jones, Jr. and Emma Taylor Jones. Terry attended Gospel Light Holiness Church in Gastonia. He was formerly employed with Gaston Fence for over 30 years. Terry is survived by his daughter, Teresa Sawyer and husband, Robert of Shelby; son, Scott Shoemaker and wife, Robin of Dallas; grandchildren, Robert Wayne Sawyer, Terry Justin Sawyer, Sean Michael Sawyer, Elizabeth and Scott Shoemaker; brother, Kenneth Jones of Lincolnton; sister, Diane Willard and husband, Pastor Jerry Willard of Gastonia and cousin, Tommy Kirkland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Cissy" Jones and brothers, Teddy and Tommy Jones. A memorial service will be held 12 Noon, Monday at Gospel Light Holiness Church - 104 Welch Avenue, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Jerry Willard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Light Holiness Church - 104 Welch Avenue, Gastonia, NC 28054.
