Teresa Layne Hughes

Teresa Layne Hughes, 68, of Bessemer City, went to be with The Lord on January 13, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

She was born June 8, 1955, in Allegany County, Virginia, daughter of the late Lee Roy Hughes and Phyllis Marie Johnson Hughes.

Teresa was a member of Grover Church of God in Grover, NC. She loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart.

She loved her family and always put their need before her own. She enjoyed watching television and taking videos of the birds and animals around her home. She was proud of her grand -fur babies, Nene and Bella, Lover, Mittens, Smokey and Trigger.

All services will be private.

Teresa is survived by her son, Josh Moore (Christy Barnett); daughter, Gina Arnett; brother, John Hughes (Patty); grandchildren, Kayla Arnett and Joanthon Moses.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Tri-County Animal Rescue PO Box 483 Alexis, NC 28006.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
