Teddy Richard Owens

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Teddy Richard Owens - a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and cherished member of our community, who passed away at the age of 70 on December 26, 2024.

Born on January 11, 1954, in Charlotte, NC to John Thomas Owens and Filomena Eppolito Owens.

Teddy served in both the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division, and United States Navy. Teddy was known for his positive personality, fortitude, strength, kind heart, infectious laughter, strong work ethic and his unwavering dedication to his family. Teddy loved his church and church family so much as well!

He is survived by his two sons, Michael Owens, (Amanda) Daniel Owens (Annie), & Step-Son Chris Fite, grandchildren Emily, Elijah, Carter, & Kennedy Owens, Greysun Stagg, Lacey and Addison, Sisters Susan Ashe (Ted), Rose Lamb (Gary), and nieces and nephews, Grace Harrigan, Tabitha King, Travis Lamb, and Justin Ashe.

Teddy was predeceased by his parents, siblings, Virginia Morgan, Thomas Owens, Wilson Owens, Katherine Montondo, Emily Dulin, Graham Owens, and his beloved wife, Teri Owens.

A celebration of his life will be held at Bowling Green Baptist Church on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with service to follow at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bowling Green First Baptist Church, 1683 Highway 321 North, Clover, SC 29710.
