Ted Mccray

Ted Rhea McCray, 68, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

He was born on September 26, 1654, in Bristol, Tennessee to the late John and Barbara McCray.

Ted was a member of Pisgah ARP Church in Gastonia. He retired from the US Navy. Ted loved to fish and was a big Clemson Tiger fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson. He loved singing songs of worship.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Burton McCray; son, Daniel Justin McCray and wife Amanda of Dallas; brothers, David and Johnny McCray; grandson, Jace Ayven McCray.

A Memorial Service with Navy Military Honors, officiated by Pastor Rick Lewis, will be held at Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052 on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 3:30 pm.
