Ted Dean Abbott

Ted Dean Abbott, 79, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Lincoln Rehab in Lincolnton, NC.

He was born in Montgomery County, Ohio to the late Merle and Alice Abbott on July 11, 1943.

Ted retired from Piedmont Airlines as an aircraft mechanic, a trade he learned while serving in the US Airforce during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Gastonia.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara 'Mama Chris" Abbott; son, Bobby Lyman.

Ted is survived by his daughters, Rhonda England (Butch), Renee Carmin (Doug); brother, David Abbott; grandchildren, Casey England (Alexis), Shannon Aldridge, Lauren Neilsen (Rick), Travis England (Jennifer); six great-grandchildren.

All services will be private.
