Tammy Darlene Marr Stein

Tammy Darlene Marr Stein, a true free spirit who lived life with passion and purpose, passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 60, in her hometown of Gastonia, NC. She was known for her love of nature and adventure, working as a landscaper in the summer and a ski instructor in the winter. Born on November 7, 1963, Tammy embraced life to the fullest, finding joy in baking, traveling, and advocating for the environment.

Tammy Stein was a woman of many talents, with an Associate's Degree and a successful self-employed career in the landscape industry. She was a devoted mother to her son Joshua Stein (Catherine), and a loving daughter to Cynthia Knight (Robert) and Raymond Marr (Leigh). Tammy's presence will be deeply missed by her family, including her brother, Keith Jenkins; sister, Kristina Prince (Cody); and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In memory of Tammy's vibrant spirit, she will lie in state at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on July 14, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12 noon. Following the visitation, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Tammy will be cremated in accordance with her wishes, honoring her connection to the earth she loved so much.

Though Tammy may no longer be with us physically, her adventurous soul and kind heart will continue to live on through the memories she created with those around her. Her legacy of love and laughter will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, Tammy Darlene Marr Stein.
