Sylvia "Grace" Walls

Sylvia "Grace" Walls, 87, of Gastonia, passed away March 11, 2018 at Courtland Terrace.

She was born January 25, 1931, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Ernest Reece Goble and Viola Jane Chronister Goble.

Grace was a wonderful mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling, fishing and cooking.  She never met a stranger and everyone who met her loved her.

She is survived by daughters Leigh Anne and husband Michael Lauer and Judy Walls; sister Bobbie Leagon; grandchildren Mandi, Deanie, Ashton and Wesley; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold "Pinto" Walls; daughter Martha Jane Deal and grandson Jon Michael Deal.

A celebration of life service will be held 3 pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Visitation will be at 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
