It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Bell Beaver, beloved mother and grandmother, who departed this life on September 13, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on January 26, 1947, in Polk County, TN, daughter of the late Edgar Henson and Stella Bryson Messer.

Sylvia was a cherished member of the Independent Baptist Tabernacle, where she found joy in singing praises to God and lifting everyone up around her while sharing the gospel. She was known for her unwavering faith, servants' heart, devotion to church and family, home cooked meals and coconut cakes. Her love served as a guiding light to all.

In honoring Sylvia's memory, her family will be holding a funeral service at Noon Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Independent Baptist Tabernacle, 2128 Dallas Cherryville Highway Dallas where friends and loved ones will gather to celebrate her remarkable life. The family will receive friends 11-Noon prior to the service. Sylvia will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Dustin Bell (Stephanie); daughter, Velvet Hannon (Fred); beloved grandson, Devon Bell, step-grandchildren, Mya Johnson, Michael Johnson, Chris Ramsey, Anna Johnson, Victoria Spencer, Brad Hannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Beaver; brothers, Verlin, Teddy, Lowell, Jewel, and Leonard Messer; sisters, Estelle Waters, Darlene Messer, Willadean Messer; half-sister, Janice Golden.

In this time of mourning, let us remember and cherish Sylvia's legacy of love and faith. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
