It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Sydney Michelle Bisson, age 18, of Charlotte, NC. Sydney passed away on Sunday, November 10th, 2024.
Sydney was born on March 15th, 2006, in Huntersville, NC to Pamela Bisson and Dean Bisson. She grew up in the Wedgewood North Community, where she was and will always be a "Piranha" or if you know you know...a PPPP-RANHA! Throughout her life, Sydney had a passion for animals, art, cooking, fishing, gymnastics, swimming and TIK TOK, and she brought joy to everyone she met with her kindness, creativity, and quirky sense of humor. She was known for her ability to make everyone feel welcome, Sydney had a sense of fairness, including justice and freedom from prejudice.
Sydney is survived by her parents, Pamela and Dean Bisson, Charlotte; brother, Dylan Bisson, Brevard, NC; grandma, Sandra Bisson, Waterloo, ON, Canda; papa, David Bisson, The Villages FL; nana, Karen Bisson, The Villages Fl; aunt, Deanna and Uncle Jay Brandao, Ontario, Canada; uncle, Scott Watts, Lowell, NC; aunt, Paige Bisson, Harrisburg, NC; cousins, Blake and Jaxon Brandao, Ontario, CA, Rebecca, Elan, Brandon and Kennedy Hester, Mount Holly, NC; special friends, Britley, Alayna, Kelly, Jack; and 1st BFF, Cameron.
Welcoming Sydney into God's Garden are her mamaw, Rebecca Waters, Lowell, NC; her papaw, Ray Southard Jr. Gastonia, NC; uncle, Tony Jones, Lowell, NC; and her beloved beagle, Callie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 6th from 7pm-9pm at The Wedgewood North Clubhouse, 8925 Babbit Way, Charlotte, NC 28216. We invite all who knew and loved Sydney to join us in honoring her life, sharing memories, and celebrating the incredible person she was. We will be releasing lighted lanterns into the night sky, as we remember Sydney's beautiful spirit and the love she shared. Those who wish to participate, please be present at 8pm.
Sydney will be laid to rest in Murrells Inlet, SC. A private beachside family service will be held as a special, private time for Sydney's family to say our final goodbyes and lay her to rest in a place she cherished.
The family encourages you to commemorate Sydney's life in a manner that resonates with you personally. Recounting cherished moments, you shared, a favorite song, or simply pausing to celebrate the positive impact she had on your life. Your gesture of remembrance, in whatever form, will be deeply valued.
We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and beautiful moments we shared with Sydney. Her spirit will continue to live on in our hearts.
