Susan Nelson

Susan Elizabeth Nelson, 53, passed away at home in Marshall, NC on October 2, 2020.

She was born in Halifax County, NC on August 26, 1967 to the late Eddie Ray and Janice Nelson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Nelson.

Susan was most recently employed by Mission Hospital as an Applications Systems Analyst.  Prior to her career at Mission, Susan was employed at the Carolina Wilderness Adventure in Hot Springs, NC and Volvo.  She loved music, laughter, her friends, the mountains, photography, and white-water rafting.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Howell; special friends, Joni Ellis, Tammy Cody, and Vanessa "Voe" Fisher; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
