It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven "Steve" Dale Dellinger, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, who left us peacefully on August 16, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on August 31, 1956, in Newark, New Jersey, Steven lived a life filled with hard work, passion, and a deep love for his family.

Steve dedicated many years of his life as the owner and operator of Dellinger's Ceiling Incorporated, where his craftsmanship and work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of many in the industry. Known for his unwavering commitment to excellence, he was a hard worker who took pride in every project he undertook.

Beyond his professional life, Steve was an avid golfer and a sports enthusiast. He found joy in watching various sports on television, but his heart belonged to the Atlanta Braves. His love for the game and the camaraderie it fostered brought him happiness and was often a topic of lively conversation among friends and family.

Steve treasured his family above all else, spending countless cherished moments with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. The bonds they shared were a testament to the values of unity and love that Steve instilled in those around him.

The family will host a memorial service Thursday, August 20, 2026, starting at 3:00 pm at daughter Mary's home to celebrate Steve's life, sharing stories, laughter, and tears as they reflect on the remarkable man he was.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Geneva Bryson Dellinger; daughters, Mary Collins (Forest), Ashley Barber (Marty); grandchildren, Graysea Richards, Reagan Richards, Skyler Christopher, Madalyn Christopher; nieces, Tora Foster, Breana Balala.

Steve was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Dellinger and Barbara Flowers Dellinger; sister, Penny Ann Foster; and nephew, Keith Foster.

In this time of loss, let us remember Steven Dale Dellinger not only for the life he lived but for the love he gave and the memories he created. May his spirit continue to inspire and remind us to cherish our loved ones, work diligently, and find joy in the little things.
