Steve Hamacher

Steve Hamacher, 54, of Belmont, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his residence.

He was born July 23, 1968, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of Mitchell and Shelia Hamacher.

Steve was a religious, and spiritual man. He was an avid UNC Tarheel Fan and was all around a good guy. He was a hard worker, was a friend to all. He was also a jokester, he enjoyed laughter, and he could lighten your mood.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Gilbert; paternal grandparents, William Hamacher and Ruby Holland; brother, Dwayne Hamacher; father-in-law, Eddie Fox; and sister-in-law, Kim Fox.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of over 31 years, Tracy Hamacher; daughter, Lauren Hamacher; brother, Mike Hamacher (Tina); grandchildren, Bentley Auten, Addilyn Auten, and Cooper Welch; mother-in-law, Janice Fox; sister-in-law, Amy Payne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends 6:30-8:30pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.
