Stephen E. Truelove

Stephen E. Truelove, 74, of Stanley, NC, passed away at his home on March 12, 2023.

He was born in Gaston County, NC on April 21, 1949, to the late Jimmy and Beulah Rhodes Truelove.

Steve was a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church in Grover, NC.  He loved playing the bass guitar, especially at church.  He loved to drive and travel.  He was devoted to his family and making sure they were cared for.  He enjoyed bowling and hunting.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Truelove; son, Anthony Truelove; sister, Janet Panther; and grandson, Corey S. Ellis.

Steve is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Zografos and husband Chris; and two grandchildren, Casey Ellis and Blaise Mullis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2024, 6:00-8:00 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

A service to celebrate Steve's life will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, 11:00 am, at New Buffalo Baptist Church, 1010 Lavender Road, Grover, NC.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
