Stephen Philip Strickland Sr.

Stephen Philip Strickland, Sr., 57, of Kings Mountain, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

Stephen was born in Cleveland County on March 16, 1958.  Stephen is the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Strickland, Sr. and Ruth Edwards Neal.

He loved his family, loved to play music. He had a great sense of humor and loved animals and his dog Ricky.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 40 years, Nancy Page Strickland; son, Stephen Philip Strickland, Jr. and wife Terri; daughter, Heather Cox and husband Geoffrey; brothers, Randy Strickland and wife Dianne, Dwight Strickland and wife  Drennan; sister, Patricia McGinnis and husband Chip; grandchildren, Stephenie Bryant, Alaina Cox, Eli Strickland; best friends, Tony Weaver and Al Fraley.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his step father, Boyce Neal; brother, Woodrow Wilson Strickland Jr.; sister, Connie Ried.
