Gastonia- Stephen "Mark" Robbins, 55, entered into his heavenly home on July 7, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. He was born on September 25, 1961 in Gaston County to the late Rev. Sam Robbins and Oimelee Scroggs Robbins. He was an industrial painter by trade. He served a limited time in the United States Air Force. He was a 1979 graduate of Hunter Huss High School. He attended Liberty University Seminary. Mark was a great singer, played the piano and guitar and had a great passion for music. He was often asked to play and sing at funerals. He had the gift of gab and never met a stranger. Mark loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a former member of Zion Baptist Church. He loved the scriptures and was always studying and willing to share his knowledge of the Bible every chance he got. He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Sam Robbins and great nephew Grayson James McMichaels. Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Sandy Williams Robbins, his mother, Oimelee Robbins, his daughter, Markecia Corum and husband Randy of Sevierville, TN, his sons, Blaine and Gus Robbins of Dahlonega, GA, his sisters, Kathy Robbins Nichols and husband Nicky of Bessemer City, NC, Becky Robbins and husband Bobby Frankum of Elberton, GA, his nephews, Bryan and Matt Nichols of Bessemer City, NC, Keith Robbins of Habersham, GA, his great niece and nephews, Aimee and Tripp Robbins of Habersham, GA, Cole Robbins of Cleveland, GA, special little friend Gracie Lanning of Dahlonega, GA. His extended family, Bill Williams and wife Andrea father-in-law and step mother-in-law of Bedford, VA, Janice McCummings and husband Barry mother-in-law and step-father-in-law of Dallas, NC, step-sons, Caleb Gilley and wife Felichia of Rising Sun, MD, Colton Ward and wife Mallory of Nottingham, PA, Cole Ward and fiancée Gabrielle of Nottingham, PA, step-grandchildren, Chase, Landon, Bailey Gilley of Rising Sun, MD, Gavin, Bentley, Lilly Kessler of Rising Sun, MD, brother-in-law, Victor Hart and wife Anita of Charlotte, NC, sister-in-law Kathy Keane and husband Whit of Stanley, NC, brothers-in-laws Billy Williams of Bedford, VA, Tony Williams and wife Brenda of New Providence, PA, Jamie Stalcup and wife Missy of Hanover, PA, nieces and nephews, Jeannette, Katie, Whitney, Rachel Keane and families, Kasey McMichaels and husband Eric of Nottingham, PA, Jordan, Anthony, Tyler Williams and families, Leah Stalcup of Hanover, PA, Dustin, Kyle, Victoria Hart of Gastonia, NC , special aunts Twynkle Huffstetler and Linda Childers of Kings Mountain, NC. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Marshall Owens, Rev. Leo Kuykendall and Rev. Robert Ammons officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont, NC.
