Sonny Stiles

Sonny Stiles, 81, of Dallas, passed away April 26, 2017 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 6, 1936 in Youngstown OH, the son of the late John Herman Stiles and Martha Jane Thomas Stiles.

Sonny was a member of Hardin Community Baptist Church in Dallas.

He retired from Wix Filtration after 45 years of Service.  He loved his family and to tinker around in his shop.  He never met a stranger.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of over 62 years, Edna Propst Stiles; sons Wayne Stiles and wife, Betty; Leon Stiles and wife Geri; Tim Stiles; brothers Billy and Steve Stiles; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Virginia Nicholson and Carolyn McAllister.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Hardin Community Baptist Church.

The family will recieve friends 6 – 8 pm Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
