Skylann Johnson

Skylann Nichole Johnson, 15, of Clover, SC, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. She was born December 26, 2010 in Gaston County.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Larry Anthony Johnson Sr.; maternal grandmother, Melissa Lecthco; great-grandfather, Marvin James Sahms Jr.

Skylann is survived by her great-grandmother & mom, Cathy Johnson Sahms; GREAT aunt Tabby, aka Sissy; great aunt, Telly Yelton (Randy), great aunt Angie Williams; aunts, Chyanne Johnson, Danielle Horne, Brittany Johnson, Brittany Bell; father, Larry Anthony Johnson III; mother, Ashley Nichole Cato; maternal grandparents, Mike & Gina Lecthco; paternal grandparents, Larry Anthony Johnson Jr. (Karen), Lisa Tullo (Tony); maternal great-grandmother, Patricia Harman; uncle, Matt Moss (Chrissy), Montana Johnson, DJ Swink, Corey Payne; great-uncle, Carl Hudson; and many cousins.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Adam Laster, will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026, 2:00 PM, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
