Shirley Marie Wise

Shirley Marie Wise (nee Kolberg), 84, a former Native of Cleveland, Ohio went to be with the Lord and her Angels on Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, at home and in the Arms of her Beautiful Daughter Sharline in Kings Mountain, North Carolina.

Shirley was a Strong Woman. Loving Life so much, she wanted to provide a life full of love to others and began Fostering Children in the 1990's. After battling Lung Cancer and beating it as well as Breast Cancer, she came to lay to rest peacefully years later. Mrs. Wise was born on May 23, 1940, and Never Stopped Moving! She had to always be doing something as she certainly was a Busy B-uterfly!

Preceding her passing was her Late Husband of 35 Wonderful Years, Lindy Hampton Wise who truly showed the definition of what Love is.

Shirley's hobbies were, but not limited to, Being a Wonderful Mother and Grandmother as well as: Collecting Dolls, Keeping a Beautiful Home, Fishing, Bowling, Bingo, Publishers Clearing House, where she never missed a Sweepstakes Entry, as well as Jumping out of an Airplane on her 70th Birthday with Blake, Brad Snyder's son who are extended Family and had a long lasting Love for Cats and Butterflies.

Shirley is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-Law, Sharline and Bobby Bridges, Son and Daughter-in-Law, Steven and Kimberly Olander, Son Mike Wise, Grandchildren Christine, Jason, Steve, Samantha, Rosalee, Andrew, and Great-Grandchildren, Dillon, Callie, Axton, Drew, Paige, her Beautiful Sister Lillian Grace who began an immediate bond after being separated at a young age and Reunited 50 years later, and many other extended family members, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her cat "Mattie."

The family will gather 4:30-6:00pm, Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052. Per her request, Mrs. Shirley's cremated remains will be spread out in the Mountains of West Virginia where she can peacefully be with Mr. Lindy, or "Baca" as we all know him and no formal service will be held.

In lieu of Flowers, Donations can be sent to S.O.C.K.S Crisis Ministry 160 Woodlawn St, Belmont, NC 28012, where she volunteered for around 2 years. May She Forever Rest in Peace and Spread Her Wings and Fly.
