Shirley Owens Lewis

Shirley Owens Lewis, 75, of Gastonia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at CRMC, Gastonia.

She was born on March 19, 1945 in Gaston County, NC, to the late Marshall Lewis Owens, Sr. and Sally Teague Anderson.

Shirley was a member of Friendly Baptist Church in Gastonia.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Lewis, and her brothers, Richard, Ray, and Charles Owens.

Left to cherish Shirley's memories are her sons, Larry Walker (Pamela), Jeff Walker (Lisa), Darrell Walker (Bonnie), and Michael Walker; brother, Marshall Owens, Jr. (Linda); sisters, Mary Walker, Patricia Bradley, and Shelby Canipe; grandchildren, Deana Wilson, Bailey Ellison, Jeffery Walker, Jennifer Simmons, Darrel Walker, Jr., Terri Abbott, Kelly Walker, Jessie Abbott, Billy Walker, and Leanna Waldroup; 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mrs. Lewis officiated by Pastor Marshall Owens will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City, NC.

On Wednesday, January 20, 2021, Mrs. Lewis will lie in state from 2:00-4:00pm at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service- 1503 S York Rd. Gastonia, NC, 28052
