Shirley "Jackie" Jacobs

Shirley "Jackie" Jacobs, 74, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

A Gaston County native, she was born May 16, 1947, daughter of the late David and Irene Campbell.

Jackie loved her family and friends! She was a hard worker who always put others ahead of herself. She spent many hours volunteering at Lutheran Chapel Church's Clothes Closet. Jackie was well known for her biscuits. She had a passion for gardening. She was retired from Western Auto Warehouse after numerous years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David Allen Jacobs Sr.; and sisters, Florence Davis and Carolyn Payne.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David "Chuck" Jacobs and wife Denise, Chad Jacobs, and Terrie J. Weathers; stepsons, David Allen Jacobs Jr. and wife Liz, Curtis Jacobs and wife Trish; brother, David Donald "JR" Campbell Jr. and wife Janice; grandchildren, Matthew Jacobs, Brandon Jacobs, Chase Carver, Trey Carver, Joshua Jacobs, Candice Jacobs, and Kyle Jacobs ; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including special niece and nephews, Jessica Price Mitchell, Ronnie Phillips, and Johnny Phillips; and furbaby, Sadie.

A gathering of friends and family will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
