Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Shirley Ghantt went to be with the Lord on, October 10, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on July 29, 1951, in Georgia, Shirley had made her home in Gastonia, North Carolina, where she dedicated herself to her ministry and her community.

Shirley will be remembered for her boundless kindness and her unwavering commitment to helping others. A member of the Faith And Praise Assembly of Ranlo and a former pastor of Revival Time For Jesus Church, she touched the hearts of many and made a meaningful impact on those around her.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Wesley Ghantt and Bobby Ghantt (Angie); sisters, Madylin Rose and Pat Almond; grandchildren, Matthew Ghantt (Whitney), Andrew Moss (Ariadna); great-grandchildren, Samuel Ghantt and Savannah Ghantt; and a special thank you to Priscilla Bolding.

She is preceded in death by her late husband Robert Ghantt; her parents James and Adell Brown; brothers, Keith Brown, Sonny Brown, and James Brown; sisters, Francis Walters, Margaret Brown, Alice Mason, and Mary Graves.

To celebrate Shirley's incredible life, friends and family are invited to gather for her funeral services on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 1:00, at Greene Funeral South Chapel. Before the service, there will be a visitation from 12:00 -1:00, giving everyone a chance to share stories and memories of Shirley.

After the service, Shirley's spirit will be laid to rest at Gaston Memorial Park, where she will finally find peace. We encourage all who knew her to come together to honor a life filled with love, faith, and service to others.
