Shirley C. Dixon

Shirley C. Dixon, 79, of Kings Mountain, passed away March 6, 2015, at Robin Johnson House, Dallas. She was born March 26, 1935, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Fredrick Theodore Johnson and Maudine Westbrook Johnson. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kings Mountain. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husbands, Carroll C. Costner, A.L Dixon; and sister, Doris Holland. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son in law, Sharon and Larry Whitlock of Bessemer City; sister and brother in law, Joyce and Grady Goble of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Nicole Beason and husband, Mickey, David Whitlock and wife, Teresa; great grandchildren, Brook and Brandon; and special friend, Daniel. A private service and interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
