Shirley Stines Black

Shirley Stines Black, 83, of Dallas, NC passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1939, in Gaston County to the late Floyd and Margie Eades Stines.

Shirley, a native of Gaston County, was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Dallas. She enjoyed her family, gardening, and loved to search for new wildflowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Black, brothers, Billy Stines and Wayne Stines, and sister, Irma Kay.

She is survived by her son, Reggie Black and wife Debbie, Daughter Tonita Wilkinson, three brothers, Bobby Stines and wife Teresa, Wilburn Stines, Alfred Stines, two sisters, Ellen Tindall, Faye Pilkington, brother-in-law, Ronnie Kay, three grandchildren, Chris Black, Haley Brackett and husband Cody, Nick Wilkinson, four great-grandchildren Brittany and Harlee Black, Benjamin Brackett, and Jackson Wilkinson.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Frederick Mitschke will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 531 Hardin Road, Dallas, NC.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
