Sherry Wright

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Ann Wright, who left us peacefully on December 22, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on August 6, 1939, in South Carolina, Sherry made her home in Bessemer City, North Carolina, where she lived a life filled with love and warmth.

Sherry was a loving wife and mother whose care and kindness touched everyone around her. She dedicated many years of her life to her work as a seamstress in the textiles industry, retiring from PRN Uniforms, where she was cherished by her coworkers and customers alike.

Known for her creativity, Sherry had a passion for flowers and quilting, often seen tending to her beloved garden or crafting beautiful quilts for family and friends. Her love for the outdoors and her vibrant flower garden brought joy to her life and to those fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 54 years, Ernest Eugene Wright; sister, Nancy Wilson; children, Paige Harmon (Eric Harmon), Angela Cline, Penny Stamey (Michael Stamey); grandchildren, Kelly Goodman, Hannah Cline, Cameron Cline, Christopher Rhyne; great-grandchild, Tessa Goodman.

Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Sherry's wonderful life. A graveside service will be held at Gaston Memorial Park on December 27, 2025, at 3:00 PM. We welcome everyone to come together and share in honoring her memory and the cherished moments we all shared with her.

Sherry's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of love and kindness will be carried forward by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Rhyne, Jr.
