Sherry Marlene Stines

Sherry Marlene Stines, a beloved sister, friend, and cherished member of the Gastonia community, passed away on May 9, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on September 11, 1954, in North Carolina, Sherry was the daughter of the late Ernest E. Stines and Lucille Farmer Stines.

Sherry dedicated 27 years to her role as a painter in the truck manufacturing industry at Freightliner, where she was a valued member of the team before her retirement. Known for her love of horses, Sherry enjoyed spending her free time surrounded by family, spoiling her nieces and nephews, and lending a hand to friends.

She is survived by her sister, Trudy Huffstetler, and her brothers, Nick and Curtis Stines. She also leaves behind close friends Debbie Mims, Myra Austin, and Jean Cabaniss, who will dearly miss her warm spirit and infectious laughter.

Visitation will be held at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel,1503 South York Road on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 2:00 - 4:00 pm, where family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Sherry's life and share memories. Her memory forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
