Sherry Tucker Painter

Sherry Tucker Painter, 69, of Lincolnton, passed away April 11, 2016 at her residence.

She was born January 15, 1947 in Gaston County, the daughter of the late Stacy Alexander Tucker and Evelyn Moose Tucker.

Sherry was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Gastonia. She retired from Ti-Caro Threads as a customer service manager.  She was owner/operator of Pines Mobile Home Park in Gastonia.

Sherry was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memories are her son William "Billy" Leonhardt II and wife Danielle and their three children Jordan, Trey and Kyle of Gastonia, aunts Linda Greenlee and husband James of Gastonia and Virginia Dare Chambers of Matthews; life-long friend Grace Warren and husband Bryan of Gastonia and her beloved dog, Auggie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Painter.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday, April 15, 2016 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Leo Kuykendall.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Zion Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2437 Propst Street, Gastonia, NC 28056.
