Sherry C. Mcrainey

Sherry C. McRainey, 57, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013 following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on August 3, 1955 in Gastonia, daughter of the late Robert C. and Mamie Pruett Carpenter. A receiving of friends will be held from 3:00 -5:00 pm Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sacred Heart College. She was employed as the Operations Manager of Phase 4 films in Fort Mill, SC. Sherry is survived by: her loving husband of 23 years, Rod McRainey; son, Jason Clemmer and spouse Ashley; daughter, Elizabeth Reaves and spouse Zach; sister, Genevieve Barrett; grandchildren, Brandi and Brandon; nieces, Crystal Clark and spouse Jeff and their son Colton, Amy Hindmarch and spouse Brian and their son Jack; nephew, Robbie Barrett and spouse Chris, their children Sarah and Ivey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Carpenter. Memorials may be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation For The Cure, Attn: Donor Services, P. O.
